Designing Intelligent Environments: Social + Ethical Implications
Annual Reception + Workshop

February 21-22, 2013
The National Academy of Environmental Design (NAED) invites you to join a lively conversation about the increasingly important role that information and communications technologies play in the policies and experiences that shape the built environment and the social and ethical implications that result.

The 4th Annual NAED Reception + Workshop will bring together experts from graphic and information design, visualization research, urban systems, disaster mitigation, and public safety for a series of presentations and discussions that focus on the productive contributions the design professions can make to address pressing environmental problems. In keeping with NAED’s unique character as a “think—and do—tank” dedicated to moving research into practice, presenters and attendees will finish the day working together on strategic priorities for future initiatives.
